MindfulBeat is a project for mindfulness and movement, and how to integrate body coordination and mindset to move towards creative movements such as flowing dance and movement for playing percussion and other instruments. Tai chi, qi gong, and rhythm basics are initial classes as we will move in the community towards sharing our journeys and our creative pursuits. On a basic level, you will be led further on the path or paths you choose, whether it be tai chi fundamentals, qi gong, tai chi form, introductory push hands, or creative movement.
No matter if you focus on seated or standing movements, tai chi or qi gong, we will focus on mindset within each practice, developing habits of staying positive and mindful as we move. And with these practices can come benefits of easing anxiety and stress, in addition to enhancing mental focus, increasing balance and range of motion and improving posture and coordination.
